We're making Queer Art and we want YOU involved.
In Our Own Skin is a quarterly Zine launching Summer 2026. The zine is about being comfortable in our own skin, in our queerness. We want to showcase the expressive and creative aspects of being queer, no matter where you come from. Bring your queerness, your grief, your joy, your fury, your softness, and create something amazing.
We welcome art that is
○ From queer and trans creators of all backgrounds
○ Personal, political, weird, raw, playful, soft
○ Unpolished and first time contributors are very welcome
What we're looking for:
○Flash Fiction
○Essays
○Photography
○Illustrations
○Poetry
○Collages
○Or something unique!
Guidelines:
○ Must be 18+ to submit
○ Writing: 300 - 1000 words submitted as a .doc or PDF
○ Art (Illustration, photography, digital work) must be 300 dpi, submitted as PDF or PNG
○ Collages should be scanned (not photographed)
○ If explicit, it needs to be flagged as such
○ Black & White and Color accepted
○ NO AI Generated MaterialsFor the first two issues, we are offering no submission fee
Issue One
Issue 1 will be based on June's 30 day challenge, which you can find on our Instagram and here. We will be picking work that comes from this challenge for the first year.

You retain full rights to your work. By submitting, you give us permission to print and distribute this zine. We will always credit you by your chosen name or alias.
